Certified Document Translation
When an official document needs to be translated and certified for use with Spanish authorities, banks, notaries or courts, BCA coordinates certified translation in all six of our working languages — English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Italian. We'll confirm exactly what your documents need before you arrange anything.
Legal Document Preparation
BCA prepares and organises the supporting documentation for legal processes — so that when your case is presented, everything is in order. This includes gathering, checking and compiling documentation in the format required by solicitors, courts and official bodies. For residency and visa matters — we coordinate the paperwork, document preparation is also part of our standard process.
Specialist Solicitor Referrals
When your situation needs a qualified solicitor — for family law, employment disputes, criminal matters, or any case requiring court representation — BCA refers clients to specialist solicitors from its established local network. BCA makes individual referrals based on the specifics of your situation — not a directory listing. We know who to recommend, and we know when to recommend them.
Interpretation and Accompaniment
When a formal appointment requires more than a written translation, BCA can accompany clients in your language — including official hearings, as well as medical and administrative appointments. For many clients, having someone present who understands both languages — and the context — makes the difference between following what is happening and leaving more confused than when you arrived.
Notary Document Coordination
Property purchases, company formations, powers of attorney, statutory declarations — all pass through the notary. BCA coordinates the documents, confirms what each party needs to bring, arranges certified translations where required, and accompanies clients to the notary appointment. Questions clients ask us
Can BCA represent me in a Spanish court?
No. BCA is not a law firm and does not represent clients in court proceedings. What BCA can do is help you find the right specialist solicitor, coordinate the preparation of your documentation, and remain involved throughout in a coordination and translation capacity. That means you're not navigating the process alone — even when the legal work sits with a qualified solicitor.
I already have a solicitor in the UK — do I still need someone in Tenerife?
A UK solicitor is qualified in UK law, not Spanish law. If your matter involves Spanish property, Spanish employment law, a Spanish criminal process, or any official document governed by Spanish authorities, you need a specialist who practises in Spain. BCA can refer you to the right person and make sure both sides of the process are communicating clearly. The two things aren't in conflict — they serve different parts of the same situation.
I've received a document in Spanish — how do I know if it needs a certified translation?
Not all documents need certified translation, and commissioning one unnecessarily costs time and money. Come to us first. BCA will review the document with you, tell you what it is and what it means, and confirm whether a certified translation is required — and to what standard. It's a straightforward conversation and it costs nothing.
Does BCA handle translation in languages other than English?
BCA provides certified translation services in all six of our working languages — English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Italian. If your situation involves a language from outside this list, we'll tell you that at the outset.
I'm worried I've already missed a deadline — is it too late to get help?
Ring us as soon as possible. Deadlines in Spanish legal and administrative processes are real, and the consequences of missing them can escalate quickly. BCA has helped clients who came to us after things had already gone wrong. We don't judge the past. We focus on what can be done from now.
How do I know the solicitor you refer me to is the right person for my case?
