Who we are
BCA Spain is a relocation and administration consultancy based in Golf del Sur, south Tenerife. We have been working with clients in the Canary Islands since 2002.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD, Ley Orgánica 3/2018).

What information we collect and why
We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it — by contacting us through this website, by ringing our office, or by becoming a client. We do not collect personal data without a clear purpose, and we do not ask for more than we need.
Contact enquiries
When you use the contact form on this website or send us an email, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and pre-contractual steps where you are enquiring about a service.
Becoming a client
When you engage BCA Spain for a service, we collect the personal information necessary to carry out that service — which may include identification documents, address details, NIE or passport information, and relevant financial or property information. The legal basis is the performance of a contract. In some cases, we are required by law to collect and retain certain information.
Website analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use this website, so we can improve it. This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify individual visitors. How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:
- Enquiries that do not lead to a service: We retain your contact information for up to 12 months after your last contact.
- Active client records: Retained for the duration of the client relationship.
- Former client records: Retained for 6 years after the end of the client relationship, as required by Spanish commercial and tax legislation.
- Website analytics data: Aggregated data retained for up to 26 months, in line with Google Analytics data retention standards.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. We do not share your information for marketing purposes. Where necessary to carry out a service, we may share relevant information with:
- Spanish public authorities — such as the Tax Agency (AEAT), social security (TGSS), or other official bodies, where required to do so by law or as part of the service we are carrying out on your behalf.
- Specialist solicitors in our referral network — where you have asked us to coordinate with a lawyer on your behalf. We share only what is necessary.
- Software and service providers we use to run our business — such as Microsoft 365 for email and document management. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Spanish data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
Access — You can ask us what personal information we hold about you.
Rectification — You can ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erasure — You can ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances, for example if it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. Note that we may be legally required to retain some information.
Restriction — You can ask us to restrict how we use your data while a query is being resolved.
Objection — You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Data portability — Where processing is based on consent or a contract, you can ask to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
Withdraw consent — Where we are relying on your consent to process your data (for example, for analytics cookies), you can withdraw that consent at any time.
